Make it Monday

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a great weekend!

Unfortunately I have been ill this weekend and have had no time to craft – a disaster in a crafter’s world!!

So I thought I would share a card that I made  little while back featuring the beautiful watercolour thank you stamp from Stampin’ Up. The In Colour 2014-16 has a lovely range of colours, and for this card I chose the blackberry bliss cardstock and ink. I don’t often use such a dark colour as a card base, but it worked really well with the lightness of the main feature of the card.

SU13thankyou

I think the watercolour stamp needs a dark colour because of the watercolour effect, I think a lighter colour would be lost, so the blackberry bliss ink was perfect. For the spotted back ground I used the gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I stamped it off several times before I actually stamped on the card as I wanted a really faded effect.

I used the itty bitty flower punch to punch several flowers in the blackberry bliss and co-coordinating mossy meadow cardstock, and as always added a little bling!

I lined the inside of the card with white and stamped a couple of the flowers from the pictogram punch set to match the itty bitty flowers on the outside.

Hope you liked this card, thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Fun Friday

I thought I would start the weekend off making this fun card. I love the little banner punch from Stampin’ Up, and I also love the colour range of the It’s My Party designer paper pack, so these two things go great together!

SU12celebrate3

This was a really simple card to put together – the punched out banner pieces are stuck on to linen thread with dimensionals to make them stand out. The sentiment is from a stamp set called Fabulous Four – its a lovely stamp set.

I also layered up the front piece of card by adding some Hello Honey card stock – it matches the yellow banners beautifully.

And of course lets not forget to add a little bit of bling!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend

Creative Wednesday

I thought I would get creative today by using all the inks and matching card from the In Colour 2015-17 range from Stampin’ Up. They are such lovely colours – my favourites are Mint Macaroon and Tip Top Taupe but all the colours go so well together.

I decided to make a pack of small greeting cards, keeping the design simple to show off the lovely colours. It’s always handy to have a set off these kinds of cards handy as the sentiments on them can be used for a variety of occasions.

It is also a lovely idea to give a set of cards like these to a friend so that they always have a card to hand for any occasion. With this in mind I also made a small box to put the cards in to make a sweet little gift set.

I cut a hole out of the box whilst making it and put acetate behind the hole so that you can see a glimpse of the card set that is in it. And of course I decorated the box using my favourite Petite Petals punch and some pearls!

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you give these cute little cards a go!

Make It Monday

Hi everyone, I can’t believe it’s Monday again – a very quick weekend! Hope you all had a good weekend!

I chose this little thank you card for today’s blog as it’s bright and cheery to start the week on – it is also a very easy make, which is good for a busy Monday!

This is another sentiment stamp from Another Thank You stamp set – it’s a lovely versatile set. I chose to stamp on white card which is layered on to Kraft card using dimensionals to make it pop out a bit.

I stamped the flowers using the Pictogram Punches stamp set in these lovely fresh colours, then punched them out with one of the Itty Bitty Accent punches. It’s a punch I use a lot, it’s such a cute little flower. And of course there has to be a little bit of bling so I have added basic pearls.

As you can see from one of the photos I also decided to add a couple of the little flower stamps to the insert. Don’t forget to click on the links below to get your hands on these great stamp sets!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a bright start to the week, and dont forget to keep crafting!

Fun Friday

Hi everyone, hope you have all had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend! I’m keeping things simple today using this really fun thinlet die set from Stampin’ Up. It’s called Hello You and has the words I have used on my card as well as “thanks” and “you”.

SU9happyhello2

I love the fun, funky format of these dies so wanted to keep my card simple so as not to detract too much from them. I mentioned in a previous blog that green is not my favourite colour but I seemed to have used it a lot recently – I do really like the Mossy Meadow cardstock and the ink to match – it’s difficult to tell from these photos but I actually cut the dies using a patterned paper.

The hearts from Pictogram Punches stamp set and the Itty Bitty punch to match  worked well with the sentiment, and I finished the card off with piercing detail around the edge.

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed my card for today,

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend!

Creative Wednesday

For today’s card I decided to get a bit creative and ended up with more layers than I would usually put on a card!

SU8justforyou

I really wanted to make a card with the fantastic owl builder punch,  firstly because I love owls but its also a cute punch! I also had my eye on a couple of papers that I really like but hadn’t used – the problem was that I couldn’t decide which paper to use and just went with both!

SU8justforyou2

I ended up getting a bit carried away with the layering so decided I might as well add a band of ribbon as well. So the end result is a card a bit more complicated than planned, but the little owl has definitely turned out cute!

I hope your week is going well and you have time today to get creative!

Make it Monday

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a good weekend, and of course had time to craft!

I absolutely adore this cute Koala stamp from Stampin’ Up, as soon as I received the stamp I had to make a card right away!

SU7thinkingofyou1

Green is not one of my favourite colours but this lovely paper and the card that matched just seemed perfect to go with this little guy.

SU7thinkingofyou2

I always have a plan in mind when I start a card, I know what colours I want, which stamp to use etc, but for this card it kind of evolved as it went along, as happens sometimes! However, I am quite pleased with the result, and of course I took the opportunity to use my current favourite punch, the Petite Petals.

SU7thinkingofyou3

I hope that this little guy makes you smile as he does me!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week,
