Hi everyone and welcome to another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge blog hop!. For anyone new to my blog this is a challenge that I take part in once a month with some fellow crafters. Usually we are given a sketch to work with, but this month is slighlty different – we have been given four Stampin’ Up colours, definitely a challenge!
These are the colours that have been picked for us:
They are lovely colours and I really enjoyed working with them. It took me a while to manage to come up with something using all four colours, but I got there!
I used the Falling Flowers stamp set and it’s coordinating framelits dies, May Flowers. I love this stamp set as there is so much you can do with it. I love the flourish and chose it as a background, along with the smallest flower in the set, for my bold die cut flower.
I really had fun playing around with this stamp set and these colours, I hope you like the end result. My fellow crafters have come up with some amazing projects using these same colours, so make sure that you use the buttons below to go and have a look.

Hi everyone and welcome to my latest blog. I feel very priviledged that I have been picked as a Pootler’s Design Team Member for the month of June. Pootles (AKA Sam Hammond) is a wonderfully talented crafter and she chooses people each month to design a card that will feature on her blog. So for the month of June myself and four other crafters will be blogging for the Design Team every Thursday. I will be featuring the same stamp set over the next four weeks, showing different ways it can be used.
The stamp set picked for this month is a beautiful floral one called Remarkable You.
I absolutely love one of the new Stampin Up colours for this year – Tranquil Tide, and thought it was perfect for the flower I used in this card. As its such a strong colour I decided to just use it along with Whisper White and not add any other colours into the mix. The designer series paper pack Delightful Daisies has this beautiful paper, which has a faded, or distressed look which I love!
I really hope you enjoyed my card this week and that you will come back and take a look next Thursday to see what else I have come up with. This stamp set is a beautifully versatile set that I am really enjoying playing with!
As always, you can click on the product links below if you want to buy any of the products featured today – and dont forget to use this months hostess code to earn extra goodies!
Hi everyone, welcome to todays blog. I love making sets of cards in a pretty gift bag or box.I recently made a set of cards and I wanted something a little different to the ones I have made in the past, so I came up with this cute little bag.
It can, of course be used for any gift, but it holds a set of 4 notelets and envelopes, to give you a rough idea of what you can fit in it.
I enoyed using this set of Designer Series Paper, its called By The Shore and I think it’s very bright and cheery. I also love my Petite Petals stamp set and the lovely punch that goes with it, so this was a lovely excuse to use these!
To make this bag you will need a piece of card or DSP that measures 10.5 x 10.5″
Score on one side at 1″, 4.75″, 5.75″ and 10″
Turn and score at 1″ and 6.25″
You will find the instructions to make this bag in the video, and all the products I used will be listed at the bottom of this blog.
I would love for you to go and have a look at my video and have a go at making this cute little bag.
Thanks for stopping by, have a crafty week!
Hi everyone, welcome to this weeks blog!
This week the lovely Sam Hammond of Pootles.Co.Uk has set us a colour challenge. I love the colours she has picked:
I had no trouble at all deciding what I wanted to do for this challenge as I have just recently purchased the “Jar of Love” stamp set from Stampin’ Up and I was looking for an excuse to play with it!
Wisteria Wonder is a beautiful colour and the other colours compliment it so well, so I used this colour for the beautiful little flowers.
I love layers on cards, so used Smoky Slate as my base, then I layered with Wisteria Wonder and Whisper white. I finished of the picture by adding a little enamel heart in Wisteria Wonder.
I had great fun making this card, I hope you like it.
Hop over to Sam’s website here or by clicking on the colour challenge picture – there you can see the beautiful card that Sam made along with all the other cards entered in this challenge, you will enjoy seeing the variety there!
Thanks for stopping by,
