Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks blog. Today I am featuring a card that I made for a colour challenge group I am part of. Our colours were Stampin’ Up Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky and Smoky Slate. These are all beautiful colours but I did find it quite a challenge putting them all together!
I knew I wanted to use the Beautiful You stamp set, it’s high on my list of favourites just now! Once I had decided on my design I decided to incorporate some watercolouring. After a recent class using the watercolouring pencils some of my customers were interested in how to watercolour just using the stamp pads and an aquabrush. So I decided to use this techique and to make a short video demonstrating it.
I used more layers than I would normally on this card in order to use all the colours specified in the challenge, but I really like how it turned out. I also decided to leave it uncluttered and clean looking (I know, unusual for me not to use bling!) -but I did this because I really wanted the watercolouring to be the main feature.
I really hope you like this weeks project, hop on over to my YouTube video for a closer look at the watercolouring.
Thanks for stopping by,
P.S. Remember we are still in the Sale-a-bration period! This means that for every £45 of Stampin’ Up items you purchase you can choose an exclusive Sale-a-bration item for FREE! Don’t forget to use the Hostess Code when shopping to get extra goodies! You can find it in the sidebar of this post.
